As we say goodbye to October and kick off November, here’s a look at what’s been happening at North Twenty Place. Spoiler alert: the winds tried to spook us, but we powered through!
October’s biggest win? Getting the final hollowcore slab in place! This milestone marked a critical stage and has set us up well for the next steps. Despite the wind’s best efforts to slow us down, we got it done, and the third-level structural walls are up too. Interior wall work will start once the roof’s on.
Speaking of the weather, it wasn’t exactly cooperative. High winds had us rescheduling crane work and pushing a few key tasks, but we adapted and kept things moving, wind or no wind.
In the parkade, all poly and rebar work is finished. We’re aiming to pour the slab by the end of this week, wrapping up that area so we can shift focus up top.
The fourth level is already taking shape, with hollowcore slabs installed and framing underway. Now, all eyes are on the November 8 roofing deadline. It’s tight, especially after last month’s delays and the early cold, but the framers are pushing hard to keep us on track.
And just in time for that chill—SaskEnergy is scheduled to hook up natural gas in the next two weeks. Once it’s connected, we’ll have heaters running to keep things warm on site.
Stay tuned for more updates as we keep building—and bundling up!
