About us

Span West specializes in building safe, secure, built-to-last condominiums throughout Saskatchewan and Alberta. With almost 40 years in the construction industry, we use our wealth of home-building experience to design and create comfortable homes that offer a care-free, maintenance-free lifestyle.

At Span West, we believe in the transformative power of thoughtfully designed living spaces. With quality construction, solid soundproofing and safety features that go well beyond building code, our condos offer our happy homeowners comfort, quality and peace of mind.

Span West launched in the early 1980s, with an initial focus on the construction of apartment buildings, small-scale residential and mid-sized commercial projects. The company broke ground on their first 24-suite condominium in 1987 in Melfort, Saskatchewan. Since then, Span West has successfully completed over 80 construction projects throughout Western Canada.

Today, Span West is well underway with the construction of Saskatoon’s new Horizon College building in Forest Grove, and several multi-family condominium developments throughout Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.

Why choose us?

Structural Integrity

Span West buildings are built to last. The high quality materials used in construction truly stand the test of time. Superior quality equates to minimal maintenance costs and low condominium fees.

Soundproofing

Our eight-inch precast concrete floors provide an excellent sound barrier. This type of flooring is far superior to the wood joist/wood flooring systems used by many other builders today.

Fire-proofing

Every building is equipped with a comprehensive sprinkler system. Sprinklers are installed in each individual suite, the common areas, attic, garages and even balconies. This system, coupled with pre-cast concrete flooring, is important in preventing the spread of fire.

Safe parkades

Our heated parkades are built above grade to provide easy, safe access. This provides for clear visibility when exiting and means there is no slippery slope to navigate. Our parkades are also equipped with carbon monoxide detectors – another example of how we go above and beyond to make our buildings safe.

Giving back

At Span West, it’s important for us to give back the local communities that have supported and strengthened us over the years. We’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute time and/or financial resources to several charitable organizations in Saskatchewan and Alberta.

Here are a few of the organizations we’re proud to support:
